Where to Start?
Go to the official website of Canton Fair 2020 and click on the “Buyer” option on the toolbar. Then select the “Pre-Apply Buyer Badge” and fill out the invitation form.
You must enter your full (and real) name along with the ID document type and number in the provided sections before choosing a password and verifying your email address.
If you follow the steps by the book, you’ll be officially pre-registered for the upcoming China Import and Export Fair.
Getting Visa Through Canton Fair 2020 Registration
When you complete the pre-apply phase, as explained in the previous section, you’ll receive an invitation letter. Later, you have to visit the china embassy in your country to apply for the Canton Fair 2020 visa.
Of course, the invitation is not the only document you need, and you have to follow the requirements of the embassy to finalize the procedure. However, if you didn’t get a chance to receive an invitation, apply for a regular visa and enter China to finish the Canton Fair application in person.
Registration Procedure Explained for Overseas Buyers
China Import and Export Fair divides the overseas buyers into four main categories, as illustrated below. Each of these groups must follow specific application progresses to get their buyer’s card and enter the exhibit.
However, keep in mind that the final registration process (explained below) takes place at the actual site of the event or selected hotels. So, click here for more info on the last check locations in Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
1. Non-National
If a non-native buyer has the pre-registration form, all they need to do is to give their overseas document and receipt of the buyer’s badge to the officials and head for the next stage in Zone 1.
However, those non-nationals who have an E-invitation must hand over the original invitation paper, a business card, their passport, and a photo to pass the first step. For those without an E-invitation, an added 100RMB is required aside from the mentioned papers.
Note: If you had a card before but lost it or want a new one, a 200RMB will be added to the service fees.
2. Native but Working Abroad
Chinese people who work outside of the country should have the same papers as non-nationals. Moreover, they should carry an overseas Chinese passport or an over-one-year work visa of the nation, they currently live in.
3. Local Representative of Overseas Buyer(s)
Those who cooperate with foreign companies must have a document to indicate that they are an employee of the same corporation. Plus, they should deliver the original business registration certificate of the representative office in China as well as an ID card, a business card, and the registration form.
After handing over the abovementioned papers, the local representative of overseas buyers can move on to Zone 2 and wait to get their entrance card.
4. Interpreters
Those interpreters who don’t have any invitations must have all the abovementioned papers. Plus, they should have a passport photo, an oversea buyer of the company must accompany them.
Interpreters must pay an additional 350RMB to get their entrance card.
